Ahmed Samad

Ahmed Samad serves as Chief Executive Officer for Digestive Care, Arkansas Surgery & Endoscopy Center, ASC Anesthesia, Central Arkansas Surgical Center, and A.A. Properties. He helps lead one of Arkansas’s long-standing gastroenterology and outpatient endoscopy organizations, serving patients across Pine Bluff, Little Rock, Russellville, and surrounding communities. His leadership combines deep operational experience, healthcare business management, ASC administration, and a lifelong connection to the practice founded by his father, Dr. Syed A. Samad.

Ahmed’s healthcare journey began at a young age. He started working in his father’s gastroenterology clinic as a child and learned the business from the ground up, gaining experience in nearly every role over the years. That foundation shaped his understanding of both patient care and the operational discipline required to run a successful GI practice, ambulatory surgery center, anesthesia organization, and healthcare business platform.

As CEO, Ahmed focuses on the business, administrative, and strategic side of the organization, working alongside the clinical leadership team to support high-quality, patient-centered digestive care. Under this model, Dr. Syed A. Samad leads the clinical side while Ahmed oversees business operations, strategic growth, ASC administration, and organizational development — allowing the practice to expand while staying focused on quality, efficiency, and access to care.

Ahmed has played an important role in the growth of Arkansas Surgery & Endoscopy Center, including helping launch the Little Rock location in 2005. What began as one physician in one location has grown into a multi-location healthcare organization with multiple physicians and outpatient surgery center access across Pine Bluff, Little Rock, and Russellville. Today, the organization continues its mission of making high-quality GI care and endoscopic services available to communities throughout Arkansas.

Ahmed’s leadership philosophy is built around excellence, teamwork, preparation, and continuous improvement. He believes in building strong systems, supporting providers and staff, and creating an environment where patients receive coordinated, efficient, and compassionate care. He is also committed to community service and serves on multiple boards, including the Little Rock Planning Commission.
